The big wheel is the jewel in the crown of Point Village at Dublin’s Docklands. The massive observation wheel which opened on 31st July 2010 and is operated by World Tourist Attractions gives stunning views over the capital as well as the Dublin and Wicklow Mountains .
It features 42 fully enclosed capsules or pods capable of seating eight people and is completely wheelchair accessible. There will also be VIP pods that can be hired out for special occasions like birthdays or weddings.
Credit card payments are currently not up and running and there is only one ATM in Spar on Castleforbes Road close to Point Village so be sure to bring cash.
